We need your donations to help pay for these life-changing home modifications. #GetRampedUp
Coming and going from one’s home is something most people take for granted. However, for individuals with mobility issues, even something as simple as leaving their house can become a major obstacle, limiting their independence. Installing a modular ramp can make a significant difference, providing access to their community instead of leaving them isolated at home.
For the past 10 years, Disability Achievement Center has been providing aluminum ramps at no cost to those in need in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Despite our efforts, the demand continues to surge. Currently, 113 people are on the waiting list for our Home Ramp Program, facing a wait time of over two years. Additionally, the cost to install a ramp has risen significantly, with the average cost now at $7500.
Our #GetRampedUp Community Initiative aims to tackle these challenges by raising funds and awareness to help those in need.

Success Stories
CARLA was born with Cerebral Palsy and had to rely on others to leave her home. Getting a ramp was a game-changer, and today Carla embraces a more independent lifestyle including being able to attend weekly independent living skills classes here at our Center.
NICK was born with Spina Bifida and uses a wheelchair for all his mobility needs. Before getting his ramp, Nick had never gone outside on his own. With the help of a hoyer lift and ramp, Nick is able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine completely on his own.
Severe back issues made it very difficult for THERESA to navigate the steps into her home. As a result, she rarely went out and became isolated, especially since she lives alone. We equipped her home with a ramp and added safety rails to her shower/tub. Now, her confidence and independence are restored, and she enjoys a much more active lifestyle.
